According to TikTok, the platform has removed violative content and banned associated keywords and search suggestions. The organization said it was committed to keeping the platform secure and allocating resources in strengthening enforcement strategies.

Entering “retatrutide” instantly displays channels with thousands of users, populated with images of slimming results, positive reviews and step-by-step guides for mixing or injecting at home.

Within minutes of entering one community, a seller posted WhatsApp details, where most transactions take place. The seller provided an instruction manual and guaranteed shipping within two days. When asked whether the substance was genuine, one vendor responded: “You can’t be sure.” Another shared a image of a alleged laboratory certificate. None asked about body mass, medical conditions or past usage.
